Meet Dr. Cecilia Ponce
For Dr. Ponce, being an orthodontist is more than just aligning teeth - it’s about transforming lives, inside and out. She is committed to creating confident, healthy smiles through personalized care. Dr. Ponce treats each patient as an individual, taking the time to evaluate their unique needs and offering customized treatment options. She values the long-term relationships she builds with her patients and their families, considering them part of her practice family even after treatment is complete.
Dr. Ponce earned her dental and master’s degrees in Peru, where she practiced as a general dentist and orthodontist while mentoring dental students. After moving to the U.S. in 2013, she pursued further training in Craniofacial Biology and Orofacial Pain at the University of Kentucky. She later obtained a second orthodontic degree, completing a Master’s in Orthodontics at the University of Alberta in 2018. Following her residency, she became a clinical instructor at the university and continues to contribute to the field as a published researcher and peer reviewer.
Dr. Ponce is a certified specialist in orthodontics, a Fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and American Board Certified. With over 24 years of clinical experience, she has practiced in three countries and completed specialized orthodontic training twice. Her expertise spans advanced clinical techniques, research, and teaching, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care.
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Ponce enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. She and her husband love traveling, exploring new places, and immersing themselves in different cultures.
